Chaos and myself traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado this May for our Dalmatian National. As always Chaos traveled like a champ! We had the best time getting to see Great Grandpa Newt at 16 years and 8 months old!
We did some site seeing stuff where of course I had to take pictures of my handsome boy in this beautiful state. The campgrounds we said at were so beautiful and Chaos was a perfect guess wooing everyone he met.
We competed in Rally and Regular Obedience for the first time! The regular Obedience did not go so well as someone was a little girl crazy from all the pretty girls that were in season but he had a few moments of brilliance, a short few lol. Luckily we had some family friends that live in Colorado that came to watch us and they took a few pictures of us in the ring as well.
we had hoped to get our Beginnier Novice Obedience title there but someone was still a little girl nuts and mommy got a little worried he was going to pee so unfortunately I NQ’d us. But that’s okay we still had fun. We did however receive a qualifying score in Rally Novice B for the first time with a pretty decent score for how distracted someone was and it being my first time in Rally for about 5 years.
We had a lot of waiting for our turn in the breed ring but luckily I had a friends dog to show too.
Thank you to all the amazing ring side photographers at shows like this, me and my little Alaskan boy don’t get out much and I am so happy we have some great pictures from our time in the ring to shine! It wasn’t our day but that is okay, there were so many beautiful spotted babies. Congratulations to everyone that placed and made the cut, that titled in performance events and had fun!! Hopefully that last part includes everyone!
On our way home Chaos did stellar again and then we had a pretty big wait time in Seattle so we rode the skyline and walked around downtown Seattle a little bit. We spent most of the day making lots of friends at the Seattle Airport lol. He’s a pretty popular guy I tell ya.
Anyway, sorry it’s been so long since we’ve shared anything going on here at Fireday Dalmatians. As soon as we came home I have been running non stop with 2 jobs, kids activities and stuff with dogs my days are pretty full.
Stay turned for more exciting things happening here at Fireday.
