July has been an amazing month for us! Lots of hiking and adventures. Most lake in the evening because of our record temps. So blessed in the beauty of my home state.

Today is a hard day for me, today is my girl Princess’ Birthday. She is celebrating it at the rainbow bridge. It is still so hard to believe that she was taken from me so soon. She was my first dal and the little girl of my dreams. I have so much to thank her for. First for being the sweet Princess girl she was, everyone that new her loved her, she was a true Princess!! Had to tell you about everything too! Always made us laugh! I really could go on and on about what she brought to my life and how crushed I was after losing her but I have Solo and this grand babies to look forward to. We see so much of her in our Lady girl but more attitude! Kinda scary!! I have always and will always give credit to Princess's breeders because without them I wouldn't of had her. She now has 6 beautiful great-grand babies!! They are beautiful just like she was.
She was my baby girl and there isn't a day that I don't think of her. Miss you Miss Priss!! 8 weeks old now! Can’t believe how fast the past 8 weeks have gone. Rob and Traci have been amazing breeders. They opened up their home and welcomed so many people into it over the last 8 weeks I can only imagine what the neighbors think 🤔 😂. But will all joking aside it has been such an amazing experience as the Stud dog owner. Me and my family were welcome in and treated as part of the family. I loved being able to be a part of these guys life’s from the start and throughout the last 8 weeks. Rob and Traci’s amazing cooking and having several puppy parties inviting the potential puppy owners over for dinner not once but twice! I wish I had more pictures of the 8 week last night together party. It was amazing food and just a great time! Love how comfortable it was and just a nice relaxing evening with friends that had never meet or only meet once or twice. As you can see the puppies had such a wonderful time! They were all tuckered out from the fun! 8 week stacked pictures
Thank you to Natasha for helping get these pictures. Gosh it’s been a while. Do to some miscommunications the site was down for a bit but I’ve got it all fixed and hopefully will be able to keep it up to date better for all of you.
Well the puppies are 6 weeks old now!! Crazy how fast it has gone. They are moving around and exploring everywhere! It’s so fun to go visit them. BAER brainstem auditory evoked response (https://www.lsu.edu/deafness/baerexpl.htm) yesterday. Thank you to Dr. Colette Williams 5 of the 6 puppies are bilateral hearing. Unfortunately, which the breeder suspected 1 of the puppies are Deaf. It happens and as a whole for the litter we are pleased as we can be with the results. Keep checking back for pupdates :) email Rob Wanner the breeder at [email protected] for more information about this beautiful litter!! Well it has been a little bit since Chaos has been to a show and I have to say I am so proud of how he did! He didn’t seem to miss a beat taking back to back Best of Breed wins!
No love in the group but I have some amazing photos to share soon just so you all can see how silly those judges are for not picking him ;). Just Kidding We had some nice competition and some wonderful compliments and we had so much FUN back out there together and that’s all that matters! On the down side, not really, I don’t know how long I will have my boy to show! My 4 year old daughter came to a class before the show and then to the show and literally I had to fight her to get my dog back to go into the breed ring! Such a turkey!! Then she thought she could do better then mom and tried joining us in the group ring as well. 😂 I think she’s been bitten by the bug as well. The plan was for my son to start working with his so they can be ready for Juniors in a couple months and now I’m not sure that will happen. He will have to fight with his sister over it! Lol I’m going to try and upload the video in Chaos’ page so hopefully it will go up soon. Here’s some pictures from the weekend. Chaos and myself traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado this May for our Dalmatian National. As always Chaos traveled like a champ! We had the best time getting to see Great Grandpa Newt at 16 years and 8 months old!
We did some site seeing stuff where of course I had to take pictures of my handsome boy in this beautiful state. The campgrounds we said at were so beautiful and Chaos was a perfect guess wooing everyone he met. We competed in Rally and Regular Obedience for the first time! The regular Obedience did not go so well as someone was a little girl crazy from all the pretty girls that were in season but he had a few moments of brilliance, a short few lol. Luckily we had some family friends that live in Colorado that came to watch us and they took a few pictures of us in the ring as well. we had hoped to get our Beginnier Novice Obedience title there but someone was still a little girl nuts and mommy got a little worried he was going to pee so unfortunately I NQ’d us. But that’s okay we still had fun. We did however receive a qualifying score in Rally Novice B for the first time with a pretty decent score for how distracted someone was and it being my first time in Rally for about 5 years. We had a lot of waiting for our turn in the breed ring but luckily I had a friends dog to show too. Thank you to all the amazing ring side photographers at shows like this, me and my little Alaskan boy don’t get out much and I am so happy we have some great pictures from our time in the ring to shine! It wasn’t our day but that is okay, there were so many beautiful spotted babies. Congratulations to everyone that placed and made the cut, that titled in performance events and had fun!! Hopefully that last part includes everyone! On our way home Chaos did stellar again and then we had a pretty big wait time in Seattle so we rode the skyline and walked around downtown Seattle a little bit. We spent most of the day making lots of friends at the Seattle Airport lol. He’s a pretty popular guy I tell ya. Anyway, sorry it’s been so long since we’ve shared anything going on here at Fireday Dalmatians. As soon as we came home I have been running non stop with 2 jobs, kids activities and stuff with dogs my days are pretty full. Stay turned for more exciting things happening here at Fireday. Wow can’t believe we are in February already! 2018 is really off to a fast start. Other then celebrating birthdays in January it’s been pretty quiet here. We human have all been fighting a flu bug going around. Fingers crossed it doesn’t hit Pat too.
Chaos has been really enjoying getting back into some obedience training and with girls in season it was good to get him out of the house. They are truly a lazy bunch of dogs. Lol looking forward to some hard training for the next couple weeks to get ready for our first obedience trains! Can’t wait. Hopefully I will have some videos to post with it. He’s such a champ! Can’t wait to get back into performance. Anyway Happy Hump Day followers! Please feel free to ask questions or comments anytime. While getting ready for bed I walked past where the dogs have beds and lay and saw them snuggling together on a cold winter night and had to snap a picture of them. They have enough beds and places to lay but they always choose to snuggle together. Chaos had been at a seminar with me and I think Moose and Lady missed him. 🐾🐾🐾 I just had to snap a picture of them. ❤️❤️❤️
Had a fabulous opportunity to go to a Connie Cleveland Seminar last weekend and I have to say I would recommend it if you ever have the opportunity to go see her. Really would love to go visit her in South Carolina one day! This weekend there was an agility trail locally. I went to show my support to a fellow dalmatian owner here in the State that’s running her dalmatian Pixie. I had my boy Chaos with me because we went to do a little training to while I was out. So anyway, I had him in with me visiting and had several people come up and ask if I was running this weekend or yay your finally back and it brought back so many memories and feelings. No, I was not running him. Not because we couldn’t because we could and should be running but I’m not. So, as I lay here awake I am of course overthinking like I do and one of my topics is running agility again. I had an amazing first Dalmatian in Princess, she was my world and she was an amazing agility partner! We were known very well in the agility world and she has so many agility titles but we didn’t get to finish. I’m mad about that. Really mad. She was taken from me too soon. It’s been 10 1/2 years and it still hurts. I wasn’t ready. I know we are never ready to loose our beloved pets but I lost her so unexpectedly. I was told she was okay. I was made to feel like I was overreacting and nothing was wrong with her. That was by a professional!! They were suppose to know. I was suppose to know. I really thought I had came to terms with her loss. The phone call none of us ever want to get and I received and it played over in my head day after day, week after week, month after month and even year after year on that dreadful day I will never forget. So much has changed in my life since me and PP ran agility together. I knew right away I couldn’t run agility with Solo, one because it was too hard knowing we had so much more to do with Princess and me and two Solos heart was never in it. She didn’t love agility like her mom did. Now, al these years later I have Princess grand puppies, 2 are mine and remind us so much of Princess that we knew a peice of her was still with us. So I start training them in agility along with obedience and of course conformation. Both are ready to start trialing. Well, have been ready but still trail after trail goes by and I don’t enter. Why people ask and then look at me like I am nuts when I say we’re not ready. Well, that’s because they know that’s not true. The saying, "If you fall off a horse, you get back up. I am not a quitter.", well I feel like I am a quitter, I feel like I can’t get back on that horse so to speak. Why? I can’t seem to shake the feeling that I am somehow betraying Princess. I worry I will emotionally loose if I go back out there. How do I break this? Why can’t I see what I am missing with these beautiful Princess grand babies here sitting or laying in front of me? Sorry to blab on and on this all just hit me and I needed to write it. The loss of a pet is never easy. Enjoy every moment with them. Because you never know when it will be your last. Broken hearted 💔 Princess and me in Kenai in 2003 I believe. Such grace and elegance.
